The City Clerk is the official record-keeper for the City of Covington. The Clerk\'s office attests to City documents, posts public notices, maintains City Council meeting minutes, coordinates municipal elections with Newton County, and processes Open Records Requests.
The City Clerk also serves as the staff liaison to the City\'s boards and commissions, and maintains the City Code of Ordinances.
