Telecommunicator (911 Dispatcher) — Entry Level

Senior Telecommunicator

Salary: $48,200 – $61,000 · Apply by: 2026-06-15

2+ years 911 dispatch experience. EMD/EFD/EPD certification preferred.

Communications Supervisor

5+ years 911 dispatch experience. Supervisory experience required.

A typical day

Telecommunicators answer 911 and non-emergency calls, dispatch police, fire, and EMS units, coordinate multi-agency responses, and provide pre-arrival medical and fire instructions. Shifts are 12 hours, with paid breaks and meal periods. Training is 12 weeks of classroom instruction plus 4–6 months of supervised on-the-floor training.
